DEEP PURPLE Begin Recording New Album
May 9, 2005According to a post at Deep-Purple.net, DEEP PURPLE began recording their new studio album on April 1, 2005 at producer Mike Bradford's own studio, and were due to work on it for much of the month. The writing sessions from earlier in the year mean that everyone was primed, and Mike says they were planning a couple of longer songs to showcase the band instrumentally a little more.
As previously announced, DEEP PURPLE recently formally announced that they have left EMI Records, with whom they released "Abandon", "Live At Olympia" and "Bananas". Apart from back catalogue, this marks the end of EMI's current links with the DEEP PURPLE family after more than forty years.
